NLAD Infra — Digital maintenance registers
The maintenance register, stuck to the asset itself.Anyone can read it. Nothing joins it without the management.
NLAD Infra is a QR tag for the assets a building must keep records for — lifts and fire extinguishers first. Anyone who scans the tag reads the service record on the spot: the last service, the next due date, the licence, the recent history. It is meant for housing societies, schools and small commercial buildings.
The example is a demonstration lift record maintained by NLAD — not a customer's.

How it works — reading
Anyone with a phone can read it.
The register does not live in a file with whoever keeps the file. It lives on the asset, behind a tag, and a scan is the entire interface.

What a scan shows
- Last serviced
- The date of the last service the management approved — nothing self-reported.
- Next service due
- Up to date, due soon, or overdue — the status changes on the day itself.
- Licence
- For lifts, the licence (Form B) number and the date it runs out.
- Recent history
- The last few approved entries. A wrong entry is voided, never deleted — it stays visible, struck through.
- Who to ask
- A WhatsApp button for the management — only if they chose to publish a number.
How it works — writing
How the register stays true.
A register anyone could quietly write to would be worth nothing. Reading is open; writing takes one path, and the management holds the only key.
- Work doneThe management forwards a one-time link on WhatsApp. The technician records the work from their own phone.
- PendingThe entry lands with the management — not on the public record yet.
- ApprovedSomeone from the management checks it and approves with the admin PIN — or rejects it.
- On the recordOnly now anyone who scans can see it. Corrections are voided in the open, never deleted.
The rules the register keeps
- One-time links
- A technician link works for a short window and a few submissions, and the management can cancel it at any time.
- Nothing joins silently
- A submission stays pending — and off the public page — until someone from the management approves it with the admin PIN.
- Voids stay visible
- An approved entry is never edited or deleted. It can only be voided, with a reason that stays on the record.
- Every change is logged
- The management sees every change to their record — including anything done by NLAD support.
No app and no accounts — for the management, the technician, or anyone who scans. The admin PIN and the printed admin card are the whole system.
What it is — and is not
A record, not a certificate.
NLAD never inspects an asset, approves a service or certifies anything. The register is connected to no government system, and it does not replace the statutory paperwork — it shows, on the spot, what the management has approved into the record.
What the register is worth is exactly what the management puts into it. NLAD keeps the record honest — visible voids, logged changes — not correct.
The registers
Two registers today.
- Digital Lift Register
- Service history and next-due status for each lift, with the lift licence (Form B) number and its validity.
- Digital Fire Extinguisher Register
- Service and refill history with next-due status — each extinguisher carries its own tag.
Both run on the same kit: tags for the assets, one printed admin card for the management, and the same approval rules for every entry.
What it costs
₹1,499 + GST ₹2,000 — to start: the register, its own tag for the office wall, one tag for your first machine, and 12 months.
Tags are ₹499 + GST each and you buy them once — ₹399 from the 6th tag on the register. Each is a laser-etched steel plate, posted to you.
The register is one yearly price for the whole building, whatever is on it:
- 1 to 4 machines₹1,199 + GST a year
- 5 to 12 machines₹1,999 + GST a year
- 13 to 25 machines₹2,999 + GST a year
- More than 25write to us
Never per user, never per flat. So a building with three machines pays ₹2,497 to begin and ₹1,199 a year after; with ten, ₹5,490 and then ₹1,999. All prices are exclusive of GST and applicable taxes.
If a renewal lapses, the register stays readable, printable and exportable and the tag pages keep working, for at least ninety days. Only new entries stop. After that an unrenewed register is deleted, and we say the date on the register the whole time. We do not hold the management’s own records to ransom.
